Great job everyone! It was an awesome night yesterday as Genius English Proficiency Academy celebrated the Australian Day and welcoming the new students and staff from different countries such as Russia, Japan, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia. It was funny and full of information for one of our native and witty teachers, teacher Levi, explained thoroughly the #Australian history, etymology, colonial era, traditions, culture, and many more.
It was so informative for there’s a lot of facts that we have never known before regarding Australia. One of the information that we had during the discussion were the country was colonized by the Britain, that is why its flag has similarity as of the Britain. Also, Australian people love to shorten words like “Mc Donald” will be “Macca’s”. They also love sports, especially the most popular one there was the #AFL(Australian Football League). The sport consists of 18 players and they wear boots with stops. The ground has a measurement between 135-185 meter long and 110-155 wide for it is not fixed. Instead of using a round ball as what soccer used, they are using oval-shape ball like a rugby sport have used. They also love meat (e.g. chicken, lamb, etc.). They are rich in wildlife such as animals and plants.
After the discussion, teacher Levi made some Australian breakfast/food and disseminate to each one us.
Those were few of information we learned last night.
Welcome new students! We hope you will have a great time studying with us. Enjoy learning and thank you, sir Levi for a great Australian day! 🙂
