Today, we will take you to the most famous underground river in the world, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park or also known as Puerto Princesa Underground River. Its name was taken from the location or place where you can find it, the Puerto Princesa in Palawan, Philippines. Based on history, the place was named after one of the princesses born to Isabella II of Spain and Francis, Duke of Cádiz.
Puerto Princesa had a population of 255,116 people as of 2015. This city is the second largest city in the Philippines with an area of 2,381.02 square kilometres (919.32 sq mi). The river measures 8.2 km long. The best time to visit the underground river is from January to May, where the sea is calm and clear.
In addition to travel, tourists can also explore the unique flowers, and animals, namely the Palawan giant gecko, Palawan monitor lizard, Palawan leopard cat, Palawan Bearcat, Palawan flying squirrel, and many more.
